2010-2011
1.,        Organization of Camp Officer training programme: 17 & 18TH April 2010. No. of  Participants 5.Topic : Flora and Fauna of Himalaya, Basic information about higher camp and precautions to be taken during stay of participants at  altitude .  Main instructor : Sh. Mannu Thakur & Keshave Ram from Kullu.(Both have done advance mountaineering course )

2.         Participation in Himalayan Exploratory Trekking programme : The members visited different schools and briefed the students and staff about the importance of adventure sports for their physical fitness. Five of volunteers rendered their voluntary service during the programme. The Volunteers are :   C.N.Raghu,  Amit Kumar, B.C.Joshi , S.S.Sharma and . Their voluntary services were highly appreciated by the camp officials.
3.         Mani Mahesh Trekking.: A group of 15 participants ( including 7 from other branches ) took part in Manimahesh  yetra  in the month of August/ Sept 2010 and completed the trek. The started journey on  28th August. and reached Manimahesh persons lake on  1.9.2010. Mr.C.N.Raghu was the group leader.
4.         Visit to Rajghat on 2nd Oct. :  15 members including 5 members from Haryana & Utter Pradesh  visited Rajghat on 2nd Oct. on the occasion of Mahatama Gandhi’ birthday and offered prayers of peace and happiness of the people.
5.         Get together  on Founders Day :The members of Delhi State branch, U.P.State Branch and Haryana State gathered  on 21.11.2010 to celebrate Foundation  day i.e. 18th  November. Members exchanged their view and Experiences  about the activities organized by their branches.
7.         Visit to Historical Monuments on cycles. On 25th Decembers “ Know  your City “ programme was organized in which 12 members visited Firoz Shah Kotla Monuments and Old Fort.Thehmembers gathered at Delhi Gate at 10.00 AM. and spent day at these places. They were amazed to see Ahoka Pillar ( Lat ) at Firoz Shah Kotla.
8.         Rappelling training at Dhauj : On  22.1.1011 one day introductory rappelling training course was organized in 21 members including 9 from Haryana and U.P. State branch participated. The training was given by trained instructors. The necessary equipment was provided by National office. 
9.         Holi Mangal Milan : On 18th March in the evening  14 members assembled at India Gate and greeted each other on the occasion of Holi.

2011-2012
1.        Organization of Camp Officer  and refresher course : Period :  10 & 11TH April 2011. No. of  Participants 6.Topic : Introduction about Safety techniques, Do and D’nt  during stay at the mountains and other precautions to be taken during trekking. Etc.    Main instructor : Sh. Nimmat Thakur & Keshave Ram from Kullu.( Both have done advance mountaineering course )

During Himalayan Exploratory Trekking Expedition , Four   volunteers rendered their voluntary service during the programme. The Volunteers are :   C.N.Raghu,  Amit Kumar, Sandeep Rana & S.S.Sharma  . Their voluntary services were highly appreciated by the camp officials.

4.         Visit to Rajghat on 2nd Oct. :  11 members visited Rajghat on 2nd Oct. on the occasion of Mahatama Gandhi’ birthday and offered prayers of peace and happiness of the people.
5.         Trekking Expedition organsed by National Office of S.N.D.T Women University , Mumbai: 3 volunteers rendered their service for conducting the programme  from 29th Oct to 13.11.2011. The volunteers are : C.N.Raghu, Amit Kumar and Sandeep.
6.         Get together  on Founders Day :The members of Delhi State branch, U.P.State Branch and Haryana State gathered  on 20.11.2011 to celebrate Foundation  day i.e. 18th  November. Members exchanged their view and Experiences  about the activities organized by their branches.
7.         A group of 6 participants participated in Gujarat State Branch programme “ See your Home land “ did Costal trekking and visited Diu on 21.1.2012 & 22.2.2012. Mr. C.N.Raghu was the group leader.
8..        Visit to Historical Monuments on cycles. On 25th December  under “ Know  your City “ programme was organized in which 15 members visited Humaun tomb and Safderjung  tomp Monuments The members gathered at   10.00 AM. near zoological park Mathura Road and spent day at these places.
9.         Rappelling training at Dhauj : On 05.2.1012 one day introductory rappelling training course was organized in 25 members including 9 from Haryana and U.P. State branch participated. The training was given by trained instructors. The necessary equipment was provided by National office. 
10.       Holi Mangal Milan : On 8th March in the evening  18 members assembled at India Gate and greeted each other on the occasion of Holi.

2012-2013

ANNUAL REPORT OF MAJOR ACTIVITIES
2010-11.

  1. Organization of Camp Officer  and refresher course for Gujarat & Mahrastra volunteers:

Period :  3rd  & 4TH April 2010. No. of  Participants 9. For Camp Officers and other volunteers,  refresher course was organized in Ahmedabad on 3rd and 4th April 2010 was organised in which nine volunteers took part. During the course of orientation the participants was imparted knowledge about Flora and Fauna of Himalaya, Nomades, and local traditions. They were also briefed about the safety techniques in case of emergence, Do and D’nt , basics of Rock climbing, rappelling and  Para Gliding. The main   of this occasion were: Dr. D.B. Dekiwadia,Sh. C.B. Jadeja, Sh. Bhola Thakur and Sh. Keshav Ram. Participants were awarded certificate after completion of the course.

  1.  Refresher  cum orientation course  for trekker participants  was orgnised at Rajkot ( Gujarat ) in which 64 participants from Rajkot and adjoining are took part. They were briefed about the trek route, safety measures to be taken during stay at base camp as well at  the higher camps. The main speakers on this occasion were Dr. D.B. Dekiwadia and Mr. C.B.Jadeja and Mr. B.L.Sharma.
  2. National Level “ Himalayan Exploratory Trekking Expedition “.

The programme was organized from 7th April 2010 to 5th June 2010.The base camp was setup at Burva ( near Nehru Kund Manali ).Trekking on the following routes was organized :
a).Burva- Solang Nala-Anjani Mahadev Trek.
b.) Burva – Solang Nala- Lolara- Mahali- Beaskund Trek.
b)Burva-Kothi- Rouli Khauli- Brighu Lake Trek.
c). Kasol- Rasol- Malana Trek.
Post Monsoon Trekking :

  1.  Dharamshala- Kerari lake trek.
  2. Chamba- Bharmour-Hadsar-Kugti- Manaimahesh lake trek.
  3. Mandi- Barot- Danasaur lake trek.


The prominent participating agencies are :   Moon Loin club Rajkot, Mahila College Rajkot, Raj Kumar College staff, Bently tours Mumbai,  N.C.D.C, New Delhi, Delhi  Development Authority, New Delhi and many others participated who joined the programme directly . Total Numbers of the participants in all above programmes  was 387 and 26 organisors and volunteers.
4.    Organisation of  seminar: Topics : Diabetes-Its  causes and  precautions: To Create awareness amongst the public, seminar was organized at Mumbai, Rajkot & Goa which was attended by large number of people . On this occasion the important the causes of Diabetes and precautions necessary to stop it were explained  with importance   of  regular exercises to prevent this disease . Other topics covered were importance of adventure sports  to keep oneself   fit and fine , environmental protection for healthy and long life and importance of yoga for good health. The Prominent speakers on this occasion were : Dr. D.B.Dekiwadia , Dr. Harshad Lakshari and Mr. B.L.Sharma. A large numbers of school / college students and other people  attended the same  who  showed  deep interest in our adventure sports  activities. In Mumbai it was organized on 24.10.2010, in Rajkot 14.11.2010 and in Goa (Panjim ) 9.1.2011.    
5.         Winter trekking Expedition : Winter trekking programme was organized from 25.12.2010 to 30.12.2010 in which 21 participants from Mumbai , Rajkot and Delhi took part. The base camp was setup at Solang Nala with Trek to Anjani Mahadev, Dhundi and Sagaradudgh. The group stayed at the higher camp Safara dudgh for 2 nights with elementary training in Skiing . Mr. B.L.Sharma was the group leader and Keshave Ram was the instructor.

 2011-2012:

They were briefed about the trek route, safety measures to be taken during stay at base camp as well at the higher camps. The main speakers on this occasion were Sh. Hemant Shah,  Mr. C.B.Jadeja and Mr. M.S.Mantri.
  2. National Level “ Himalayan Exploratory Trekking Expedition “.

The programme was organized from 5th May  2011 to15th June 2011.The base camp was setup at Behang on the ground which has been taken on lease for 10 years. The toilet block and kitchen block and tent platforms were constructed  .Trekking on the following routes was organized :
a).Behang- Solang Nala-Anjani Mahadev Trek.
b.) Behang – Kothi- Rouli Khouli- Brighu lake Trek.
b)Behang-Jagataukh- Benara- Boggi-Sarai Boggi-Fa-Kanda Trek.
c).Behang- Nagar- Chanderkhani pass Trek.

Post Monsoon Trekking :
1.. Dharamshala- Triund- Indraharapass trek.

  1. Chamba- Bharmour-Hadsar-Kugti- Manaimahesh lake trek.
  2. Mandi- Barot- Lohardi-Bhugling- Makodi Pass  trek.
  3. Manali-Solangnala-Sagaradudgh-Patalsu peak trek

The prominent participating agencies are :  Giridarshan- Pune, Moon Loin club Rajkot, Raj Kumar College staff, Bently tours Mumbai,  N.C.D.C, New Delhi, Delhi  Development Authority, New Delhi, S.N.D.T Women University Mumbai and many others participated who joined the programme directly . Total Numbers of the participants in all above programmes  was 455 and 32 organisors and volunteers.

  1.  Refresher  cum orientation course  for trekker participants  was orgnised at Rajkot ( Gujarat )on  6.5.2012  in which 115 participants from Rajkot and adjoining  took part. It was also organized in Delhi on 12.5.2012 for participants from Delhi and adjoining area.They were briefed about the trek route, safety measures to be taken during stay at base camp as well at  the higher camps. The main speakers on this occasion were Sh. B.L.Sharma, Dr. P.C.Thakur and Sh. H.C.Sehgal.
  2. National Level “ Himalayan Exploratory Trekking Expedition “.

The programme was organized from 5th  May  2012 to 15th June 2012 and again from 2nd Oct. 2012 to 25th Oct. 2012 .The base camp was setup at Behang ( our own camp site ) ( near Nehru Kund Manali ).Trekking on the following routes was organized :

b) Behang- Joganifall- Vashisht trek.
c.) Behang – Jagatsukh-Benara- Boggi- Sarai Boggi- Fa-Kanda. Trek.
d)Behang-Manali- Lama Dudgh- Rani Sui- Manali Pass Trek.
e). Kasol- Rasol- Malana Trek.
Post Monsoon Trekking :

  1. Vallley of flowers- Hemkund-Vasudhara falls trek.
  2. Chamba- Bharmour-Hadsar-Kugti- Manaimahesh lake trek.
  3. Mandi- Barot- Sari pass- Danasaur lake trek.
  4. Manali-Joganifall-Anjani Mahadav- Solang Nala trek.

Mr. B.L.Sharma was the group leader and Mr.  Keshave Ram and Mannu Thakur were the instructor.
6.         Visit to Wildlife sanctuary: A group of 25 participants went to visit Corbett National Park from  2.2.2013 to 3.2.2013.They were also imparted elementary training in Rappelling including jungle walk of about 6 km. Mr. B.L.Sharma was the group leader.

  1. Trekking Programme on 31.10.2010 : Mount Girnar , Jungarh- No. of participants. 15. Group Leader : Mr. Ravi.  Mount Girnar, located at a distance of 6km from Junagadh,  is a set of several hills and mountains. Spread across an area of 70 miles, it  has five major peaks namely, Ambaji, Gorakhnath, Guru Dattatreya, Oghad Ansuya and Kalka. Out of these five, Gorakhnath is the highest soaring at a height of 3666 feet above sea level.
  2. Visit to Tarnetar Mela : A group of 8 members went to visit Tarnetar Mela which   is a unique fair, the traditional costumes, jewellery, gaily decorated parasols (‘chhatris’) and folk dances leave you spellbound. The fair is organised in Tarnetar  village some 39 kilometres from Chotila in Surendranagar District in Gujarat. It is popularly known as the Trinetreshwar Mahadev Mela and revolves around the sacred temple of Trinetreshwar. Group Leader : Mr. C.B.Jadeja.
  3. Organisation of Garba on 15.10.2010 on the occasion of Maha Ashtimi in Ahmedabad as well in Rajkot  with free entry. 
  4. Coastal Trekking: Diu: Under the Title “ See your homeland “ from 25.1.2010 and 26.12.2010, a group of 12 participants went to Diu and did adventure activities like coastal trekking, water sports like surfing, para sailing and speed boat. Mr. Ashok Wala was the group leader.
  5. Visit to Shaan -E-Gir National Park and wild life sanctuary: On 25.1.2011 & 26.1.2011. No. of Participants : 16 and  from Baroda, Surat Ahmedabad and Delhi.

(  Gir Forest National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary  is today the only place in the world outside Africa, where the lion can be seen in his natural habitat. The forest also harbours a variety of smaller animals and birds. Other predators are the Panther and the Hyena. the Indian Deer, Sambar, Chital (spotted deer), Nilgai (blue bull), Chinkara and the Chowsingha (four horned antelope) are found here, alongwith the bear and the long tailed langur.)

  1. Participation in Uttarayan  Kite Festival ( international Kite festival )   held on 14.1.2011. On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sakranti , Five members  took part at Sardar Patel Stadium,  Ahmedabad.

  13. Visit to Shaan -E-Gir National Park and wild life sanctuary: On 25.1.2012 & 26.1.2012. No. of Participants : 16 and  from Baroda, Surat Ahmedabad and Delhi.

Gir Forest National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary  is today the only place in the world outside Africa, where the lion can be seen in his natural habitat. The forest also harbours a variety of smaller animals and birds. Other predators are the Panther and the Hyena. The Indian Deer, Sambar, Chital (spotted deer), Nilgai (blue bull), Chinkara and the Chowsingha (four horned antelope) are found here, alongwith the bear and the long tailed langur.

  1. Participation in Uttarayan  Kite Festival ( international Kite festival )   held on 14.1.2012. On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sakranti , Five members  took part at Sardar Patel Stadium,  Ahmedabad.

2012-2013

  1. Providing necessary arrangements for Organization of Camp Officer  and refresher course for Gujarat  volunteers by national office. Period :  14th  & 15TH April 2012. All arrangement for organizing refresher course were made by the members of Gujarat state branch. Group Leader : Mr. Ravi Kumar.
  1.  Providing necessary arrangements for  organisaing  Refresher  cum orientation course  for trekker participants from Rajkot and adjoining area  at Rajkot , participating in Himalayan Exploratory Trekking Expedition being organized by National Office on 6.5.2012. Group leader : Mr. Ashok Wala & Munna.

  10. Trekking Programme on 9.9.2012 : Mount Girnar , Jungarh- No. of participants. 10. Group Leader : Mr. Ashok Wala.  Mount Girnar, located at a distance of 6km from Junagadh,  is a set of several hills and mountains. Spread across an area of 70 miles, it  has five major peaks namely, Ambaji, Gorakhnath, Guru Dattatreya, Oghad Ansuya and Kalka. Out of these five, Gorakhnath is the highest soaring at a height of 3666 feet above sea level.
  11. Visit to Tarnetar Mela : A group of 10 members went to visit Tarnetar Mela which   is a unique fair, the traditional costumes, jewellery, gaily decorated parasols (‘chhatris’) and folk dances leave you spellbound. The fair is organised in Tarnetar  village some 39 kilometres from Chotila in Surendranagar District in Gujarat. It is popularly known as the Trinetreshwar Mahadev Mela and revolves around the sacred temple of Trinetreshwar. Group Leader : Mr. C.B.Jadeja.
  12. Organisation of Garba on 21.10.2012 on the occasion of Maha Ashtimi in Ahmedabad as well in Rajkot  with free entry. 
  13. Coastal Trekking: Diu : Under the Title “ See your homeland “ from 30.12.2012 and 31.12.2012, a group of 10 participants ( including 6 participants from Delhi ) went to Diu and did adventure activities like coastal trekking, water sports like surfing, para sailing and speed boat. Mr. Munna  was the group leader.
