Abhiyan Profile

Abhiyan Trackers, a registered voluntary organization, registered under Societies Registration Act 21 of 1860 is organsing adventure sports activities since 1994. It is also working for organisation of Educational and sightseeing tours within and outside of the country for the youth groups. Also organising lecturers, exhibitions, seminars and youth training programmes with recreational activities, training programmes related to adventure sports like trekking, mountaineering etc. including expeditions for exploration of Himalaya. Training camps are organised for environmental preservation, promotion of national integration and free medical checkup for locals. The society is organizing National level “ Himalayan Exploratory Trekking Expedition” every year in the month of May to June & Sept to November in different parts of mighty Himalaya. Thousands of adventure seeking youth both boys and girls from different states have participated in our activities. Regular training courses in rappelling , river crossing , rock climbing , para- gliding and para-sailing for school & college students are conducted. All activities organized by society are governed by The Societies Registration Act 1860. Activities are supervised by our honorary volunteers who render their services in different capacities such as Director, Co-Director, Field Director, Quarter Master, Medical Officer and Camp In-charge etc.

All the necessary infrastructure and equipment is owned by the Society that includes tents, carry mats, sleeping bags, blankets, rucksacks, climbing gear, kitchen utincle , toilet tents, etc. and all other necessary equipment required to setup the base camp and higher camps to accommodate at one time more than 150 participants at base camp and about 140 at the 4 higher camps. The Society has its own base camp site in Bahang ( 5 km from Manali on Leh highway Manali , Himachal Pradesh ) with all necessary facilities to accommodate about 200 participants at a time. Facilities available at campsite consists platforms for pitching tents, Toilets, bathrooms ,kitchen , dinning area and water source.

The society is registered under Sec 12 A read with 12AA and 80G of Income Tax Act.

The Society is also on the portal of Indian Mountaineering Foundation.

Our Activities :

Abhiyan Trackers programmes are customised according to your needs and are designed to promote awareness towards mother nature. Each year from April to June & Sept. to November, national level ‘Himalayan Exploratory Trekking Expedition’ is organised in different parts of the Himalayas. Additionally special educational programmes for school students (Class VI onwards )and higher education students is also conducted during this period. From December to March Winter, Coastal and Desert Trekking is also organised.

Gain from our extensive experience as we also help you plan Wildlife sanctuary visits and organise Jeep Safaries at special discounted rates.

Option for base camping is also available for people of any age group.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

1. Fill up the application form (available on website )
2. Submit with a bank draft/cheque drawn in favour of ‘Abhiyan Trackers’ payable at Delhi, or Rajkot.  Participation fee can also be deposited in our bank account.
3. Please note that the application form will be processed only after receiving the full fees.


A NOTE FOR PARTICIPANTS :

1. The programme schedule/trek route can be changed due to unforeseen circumstances.
2. In case of any participant falling sick/ meets with an accident during the trek, the expenses for medical treatment, travel and porter charges etc. will have be borne by the concerned individual.
3. Alcohol consumption/smoking is BANNED during the expedition. Any participant found guilty of violating the norms will be barred from completing the trek.
4. Guidelines of Forest Department of the concerned area/IMF are binding and must be adhered to. These will be issued to you at the time of reporting at the base camp.
5. Abhiyan Trackers cannot be held responsible for any accident, illness, loss of valuables or any other unforeseen events during the expedition.
6. Primary first aid facilities and one escort guide with each group will be made available for the safety of the participants.
7. In case of any dispute arising during the course of the expedition, the decision of the Field Director will be final and binding.


CANCELLATION AND REFUND:

1. If cancelled 15 days before the reporting date: 50% refund
2. Less than 15 days: No Refund
